1st Liberty FCU is actively searching for an in office Fraud Specialist located in Great Falls, MT. Responsibilities:
  • Support 1st Liberty’s Fraud Prevention activities using a variety of systems and strategies to detect, prevent and handle fraudulent activities to minimize the risk of financial losses.
  • Monitors, identifies, researches and analyzes financial transactions to identify irregularities and potential fraudulent activity and taking appropriate actions to mitigate.
  • Responsible to communicate, advise and educate members, staff and trainer; fraud related risks, document and report as required.
  • Coordinating with other departments to ensure a comprehensive approach to fraud prevention.
  • Maintain records and detailed reports on all fraudulent activities.
  • Clerical support for maintaining/reporting of proper documentation and departmental backup duties of staff.

Requirements:
  • Prefer 2+ years working experience in a related field or with clerical/research experience and basic knowledge of financial institution regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Prefer experience with Symitar, Fiserv, Verifin, Zelle, Alogent, and Federal Reserve systems, but not required.
  • Must be self-driven and professional
  • Must be detailed orientated with strong analytical and problem solving skills and likes research.
  • Must have exceptional listening, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to process both inbound and outbound communications.
  • Must have the ability to interpret regulations and disseminate information.
  • Must have critical thinking, planning, multi-tasking and organization skills.
  • Must be a team player and be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be flexible in handling multiple tasks and duties as required within the deadlines.
  • Must be able to travel occasionally and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
  • Must be proficient with a variety of automated and standard office equipment and Microsoft Office programs, such as, 10 key calculator, copier, word, excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and ability to lift up to 25lbs.
